Service reminders that bring cars back
A customer who had their oil changed with you will need it again. Whether they come back to you or to the workshop down the road depends a lot on who reminds them first.

Remind them at the right moment
- By mileage. You know the reading at the last visit and roughly how far they drive. A car that does 2,000 km a month and had a 10,000 km oil change is due in about five months.
- By time. Many services are due yearly whatever the mileage: brake fluid, the air-conditioning check before summer, the battery before winter.
- After a job. A message two or three days after delivery asking whether everything is fine catches problems early and earns a review.
- Before a warranty ends. "Your repair warranty ends next month; want us to check it first?" is useful to them and fair to you.
- For the season. AC checks before the summer, tyres and wipers before the rains.
Write a reminder people answer
- Use their name and their car: "Mona, your Corolla is due its 60,000 km service."
- Say why it matters in one line, without scaring them.
- Make the next step easy: a link to book, or "reply YES and we'll call you".
- Send it from the workshop's number, in their language, at a sensible hour.
- One reminder and one follow-up at most. After that, stop.
Don't spam
Promotions to your whole list every week get your number blocked and reported. Send fewer, better-timed messages to the customers most likely to need them, and honour anyone who says stop, at once and for good.
Measure it
Count how many reminders went out, how many customers replied or booked, and how many came in within a month. If a reminder type brings nobody back, change it or drop it.
How WrenchDesk does this
Follow-ups can be set by mileage, time, warranty and season. The workshop decides who gets one, and the assistant writes each message in the customer's language. Offers go to a filtered list, paced so your number stays safe, and a customer who asks to stop is never sent an offer again. Each follow-up shows whether the customer replied, and customers can book from a link. Try it free.
